Gent, in the world known as Ghent, is a stunning city with the perfect vibe. This Flemish city takes your breath with its beautiful architecture, romantic canals & streets full of happy people. Maybe it is the most touristy place in the city, but sitting by the canal at Graslei is definitely something you gotta try! Here is an idea on how you can spend one day in Gent.
ITINERARY
If you happen to arrive in the city by train, I recommend you to stop by Citadel park and take a walk in the charming surroundings.
On your way to the city center, grab coffee at Julie's House.
Arrive at St Micheal's Bridge and observe nice scenery
DEFINITELY go visit The Gravensteen Castle and take the audio tour - it is very interesting (take it from a person who usually isn't patient enough to listen to history stories but this one really deserves to be heard).
Take a walk in Graffitistraat
Visit Patershol neighborhood
Stroll down the Kraanlei
Grab some Belgian beers and finish your day relaxing by the canal at Greaslei
